Return & Exchange Policy

At the Musicians Institute College of Music Spirit Store, we want you to love your purchase. Because our products are made-to-order and printed on demand, we have specific guidelines for returns and exchanges.

Made-to-Order Products

All apparel and merchandise are custom printed after you place your order. This print-on-demand model allows us to offer a wide variety of designs while minimizing waste.

Eligible for Return or Exchange

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery for:

  • Defective products - Items with manufacturing defects or printing errors
  • Incorrect items - You received the wrong size, color, or design
  • Incomplete or inaccurate product descriptions - The item differs materially from what was described on the product page
  • Damaged in transit - Items that arrive damaged due to shipping

Not Eligible for Return

Due to the custom nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect size ordered (please refer to our size charts before ordering)
  • Minor color variations between screen display and printed product
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered

Out-of-Stock Situations

In rare cases where our manufacturing partner is out of stock on a specific item after your order is placed, we will:

  • Contact you immediately to discuss options
  • Offer a full refund or substitute product of equal or greater value
  • Process refunds within 5-7 business days

How to Request a Return or Exchange

  1. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order
  2. Provide your order number and photos of the item (if defective or incorrect)
  3. Describe the issue clearly
  4. We'll review your request and respond within 1-2 business days

Refund Process

Once your return is approved and received:

  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

Exchange Process

For approved exchanges:

  • We'll send a replacement item at no additional cost
  • Original item must be returned in unworn, unwashed condition
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability
